Photograph article dated May 31, 1950 partially reads, "Visiting in the Valley today is a man who is 'overwhelmed by the friendliness of America.' He is E. T. C. Holsinger, retired president of the Governmental Teachers College in Colombo, Ceylon. The visitor is touring the United States as a research worker in botany and to attend the forthcoming International Rotary convention in Detroit as representative of the Colombo Rotary Club of which he is president. He is scheduled to speak before several Valley Rotary clubs and is the house guest of Elliott B. Wyman, founder of the Glendale Rotary Club." Photograph caption reads, "Other side of world - E. T. C. Holsinger of Colombo, Ceylon shows his host, Elliott B. Wyman, where his home in Orient is located. Holsinger is Valley visitor."
