Photograph caption dated October 12, 1961 reads, "Al Melton, 12196 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, stands beside flag he has placed on sidewalk outside his business, Alwyn Studios. Melton is participating in the Studio City Chamber of Commerce drive to urge businessmen to place American Flags in front of their stores. A chamber spokesman said there are 44 flags flying daily in the Studio City area."
