Photograph caption dated June 25, 1956 reads, "Ready to try out new canoe presented them by Sunland-Tujunga Rotary Club are Marine Scout Beverly Manassero, officer of day, left, and Mariner Skipper Sally Beach. Carl Sliassen, president of Rotary Club, hands oar to skipper for good Mariner Scout Ship Terra Nova. Club has sponsored Mariner troop for a year."
