Phillips, 36, 13656 Ventura Blvd., on trial in Los Angeles Superior Court for the murder of Linda Epping, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Epping, 5115 Cahuenga Blvd., North Hollywood, who died of cancer Dec. 29, 1961, after Phillips assertedly treated her with iodine and vitamin pills. In testimony Tuesday, Dr. Jon Thie, Los Angeles drug manufacturer, told the jury that his company has never represented that the minerals would have any effect on cancer." Pictured are Mr. and Mrs. Epping, attending the trial of Sherman Oaks chiropractor. They say Dr. Phillips claimed he could cure their daughter of the cancer which took her life.
