Two members of the Salvadoran Army Civil Defense paramilitary group stand with their weapons inside the mayor's office in Alegría, Usulután. The walls of the office are marked with bullet holes of past battles between guerrilla members and soldiers. The town of Alegría is constantly being taken and re-taken by the army and guerrilla. Dos miembros del grupo paramilitar de Defensa Civil del ejército salvadoreño posan con sus rifles en la oficina del alcalde de Alegría, Usulután. Las paredes estan cubiertas de agujeros de bala que reflejan las batallas pasadas entre soldados y guerrilleros. El pueblo de Alegría es constantemente tomado y retomado por el ejército y por los guerrilleros.
