View of a street with a car moving into the photograph; on the left 3 buildings are visible receding into the photo; on the corner is a brick building of 2 stories with 8 tall windows on second floor; to its right is a small 2 story building and on its right is another 2 story building that again has tall windows on its 2nd floor; across street is a building with signs for Standard Oil on its exposed side; further down the right side is a more historic building with a tall roof comb which crowns its two stories.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
