In the campus pool, Pepperdine University students supervise and entertain children from the Hillview Acres Children's Home as a part of a community service initiative. Hillview Acres has a long association with Pepperdine University with frequent visits from fraternities and sororities, and the annual weekend visit of the children to the Malibu campus--called Orphan Retreat Weekend during the 1980s and sponsored by the Student Alumni Association. complete;
