Description
John Remi Abon was born Prince Remi Abon on September 9, 1955 in Nigeria. He went to Lagos Technical College and studied building construction at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. He immigrated to the United States in January 1981, where he then went on to receive his Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Brigham Young University along with his brother, Prince Bunnu Abon. Other members of his family, including his mother, joined him in California in the early 1990's. The family lived in various locations across Southern California, including Ventura, LA, and San Diego Counties. Eventually they settled in West Covina where Mr. Abon works for the City of LA as a Civil Engineering Associate.
