Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on June 21, 1974 states: " . . . . The Hazel Street section of the city has undergone few changes in a half century. The building at right, which housed the Gridley Hotel, still stands and is still in use, although the upper porch and canopy were removed years ago, as indicated in the Bee Photo below (subject photo). The Millington Building across from it, with its fancy cornice, still serves as a local landmark. Beyond the Millington structure is the former post office, now used as an agricultural museum."
