Description
This painting, done in ledger style, depicts two men on horseback, with enemies apparently in pursuit. On verso is inscribed: Red Walker, a Sioux warrior, is bested by pursuing Crows. Red Walker’s leg is broken and his pony is wounded. Drawn by Kills Two. The inscription does not address the second figure, on the right of the image.
