Photograph caption dated June 12, 1964 reads "Assorted St. Louis Cardinals protest with umpires in heated fourth inning rhubarb of Thursday's Dodger game that saw three Redbirds ejected. Argument began when Tim McCarver claimed his groundout actually hit his foot in foul ground. From left, Julian Javier, (later ejected) talks with ump Bill Jackowski; Bill White (tipping cap), returns to dugout; McCarver shouts at Vargo and Dick Groat, manager Johnny Keane and Carl Warwick bend Shag Crawford's ear."
