Children from the San Jose State Training school walking around the May Pole and wrapping it in streamers.
The May fete began in 1900 as an outdoor play festival for youngsters in the kindergarten-primary program. It grew into a popular springtime celebration involving nearly everyone on campus and attracting hundreds of spectators.
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
