Four miles south of Monolith. Shoestring gullies on a heavily grazed and almost completely denuded grass land. Note absence of gullies in upper left where grass cover still remains. Contrast with photograph No. 281390, taken on other side of the fence, of the same canyon where vegetation has been completely killed.
