Group portrait of the Mission Band consisting of young adults all blowing, simultaneously, on various types of wind instruments. These are made from horns or gourds attached to long hollow tubes. An audience sits in the background and in the right of the photograph there is a brick building with a thatched roof. The photograph is one of a series of pictures taken during the Christmas sports day on the Lower River. ❧ This image belongs to an album of photographs collected by Dr. Stevenson and includes images from India, China and Africa.
