Description
Lisa Tucker discusses her book, “Once Upon a Day.” She begins by explaining that the book is about how a single day can change your life and how most of the characters in the book experience a sudden change in their lives. Tucker then explores the character of her protagonist, Steven, who loses his family suddenly. Loosing his family causes Steven to leave his job as a physician and take a job as a cab driver. She then goes on to read aloud from her work and discusses how living in New Mexico has influenced her writing. Later in the interview Tucker shares her research process and how she used her brother, who is a doctor, to gain insight into the medical profession.
