Howard, an employe (sic) of Peter Kiewit and Sons Construction Co., was using an electric vibrator to pack cement inside the form when an eight-inch pipe used to pour cement snapped, trapping him against the wall of the form, which is used to make columns supporting the freeway south of Victory Blvd. and Haskell Ave. Howard was conscious when removed from the form and was taken to Valley Receiving Hospital in Van Nuys with a possible broken right leg."
