Description
Written on reverse, in Jane Morgan's handwriting: "Dr. Oscar Heil. Walter Mezer St., Belmont - Old Cty Rd - San Mateo - Genius." Dr. Heil is mentioned on page 139 of Electronics in the West, "Unknown to Rus [Varian], velocity modulation had been discovered independently by Oskar Heil and A. Arsenjewa-Heil in Europe in 1933. After World War II, German-born Dr. Heil came to California to work for Eitel-McCullough Inc."
