Description
Julia Ann Leischner, grandmother of Julius Leischner, stands by a counter in Wm. Leischner Bakery, located at 8th and Spring. Display cases with breads and sundries, including Bishops crackers and biscuits, are on the counters. Stools line the back counter as Leischner was one of the first milk shake parlors in Los Angeles. The store was frequented by Irving and Marco Hellman after their tennis on the courts back of the building on Broadway.
