Description
Caption reads: " Bidwell Bar Bridge, which spanned the Feather River for 100 years before the construction of the Oroville Dam, has been reconstructed and will be dedicated at ceremonies at 10 a. m. Saturday in Oroville. Also rebuilt is the tollhouse, below. The rebuilt bridge, which incorporates many of the original bridge parts, will span a short section of Lake Oroville when the water level rises to between 800 and 900 feet elevation. The spot where the original bridge and tollhouse stood is inundated by Lake Oroville. The structures were dismantled in the 1960s and kept in storage. The present site of the bridge is near Bidwell Canyon launch ramp and marina. The bridge will be honored by the American Society of Civil Engineers as an historical landmark."
