Photograph of a group portrait of about 80 students and their teachers posed in front of the Pass School, east side of Sunset Boulevard at the corner of Gordon Street, Gower Ranch, Hollywood, ca.1890-1895. The teacher was Mary L. Gower. The one-story clapboard-sided school bears the sign "The Pass School" and under that "1894". A short flight of stairs lead up to the front entry. A few large trees are in the background at right.
