Photographic group portrait of passengers on and around an incline rail car at the Mount Lowe Incline at Echo Mountain, [s.d.]. Men and women stand in an incline rail car, as well as on the steps adjacent to it, at the top of the Mount Lowe incline railway. Behind the car is a small station building with a tiled roof, bearing text that reads "Echo Mountain. 3500 Ft. Above Sea Level". Hills are visible in the right background. The Mount Lowe incline railway was part of the Pacific Electric Railway. The incline railway was built by Professor Thaddeus Lowe and opened to the public on July 4, 1893.
