“The children’s house in the garden, with Mr Cobb's house behind. The trees on the right are just two years old.” Exterior view of a thatched house on stilts around which crops are planted. This is, presumably, a play house for the young Irvine children built in the garden of the family home at the Chogoria mission. ❧ This image is from the first years of the Chogoria mission in Kenya, which was run by the Rev. Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974), from the collection entitled ‘Chogoria, 1922. The early days.”
