Description
View of Herbert Hoover Junior High School across Park Avenue. A flower bed is in the left foreground. The ground in front of the school is covered by a lawn, plants in bloom and two fir trees. A flag flies on the flagpole to the right. San Jose's second junior high school was located at the corner of Naglee and Park Avenues. It was designed by local architect William Weeks. Once marked for demolition, the school was designated a City Historical Landmark in 1995 and restored in the late 1990s.
