Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated March 11, 1965 partially reads, "Violence erupted in civil rights demonstrations at the Los Angeles Federal Building yesterday with U.S. marshals arresting 98 sit-inners who defied orders to stop blocking driveways and doorways. Barricades of bodies kept the Federal Building closed from noon until 5 p.m. when the final arrests were made. This was the largest number of arrests ever made in a Los Angeles civil rights demonstration."
