Children gathered in a plaza of Oraibi pueblo; a burro grazes nearby. Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Monsen's typed label on back says: "A Corner of Oraibi. This village was the largest and is the oldest of all the Hopi towns. It may be all of a thousand years old. About 1906 the greater number of inhabitants moved away and founded a new town which they call Hotavila." [i.e. Hotevilla]
