Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 13, 1963 reads, "One house was gutted by fire in North Hollywood Thursday afternoon, but quick thinking by five youths saved another, fire department officials said." The article partially reads, "Quick thinking on the part of five Valley youths helped keep a fire from spreading in the 7000-block of Coldwater Canyon Blvd., North Hollywood...Firemen said the youths saw flames shooting from an unoccupied house next door to the home of Mrs. Marguerite Traylor, 7128 Coldwater Canyon Blcd [sic]. Grabbing garden hoses, the youths began spraying the roof and outside walls of Mrs. Traylor's home...Mrs. Traylor told fire officials the youths were responsible for saving her home which she values at about $18,000."
