Description
“Moravian Mission, Kyelang [Keylong].” View of mission house building with snow covered hills in background. The Moravian Mission, under the direction of the Moravian Church, was one of the first large scale Protestant missionary efforts, with missions established throughout much of the world. Moravian missionary efforts were admired by Church of Scotland missionaries, although the two often worked in different parts of Himachal Pradesh. Moravian missionary efforts in the area were centred in Keylong in the Lahoul district, with their eventual goal being to expand into Chinese Tibet.
