This is the tenth track of an interview series with Peter Drucker on innovation and entrepreneurship, conducted by Fred Harmon. Drucker and Harmon continue their conversation with Frances Hesselbein, National Executive Director of the Girl Scouts. Hesselbein discusses changes in the Girl Scouts’ content program toward career exploration, steps to convincing the organization to change (clearly defined goals, focus on successes), and performance appraisal of innovations. According to Hesselbein, her most significant achievement is achieving the purpose of the organization, and her greatest difficulty is not moving quickly enough to bring in girls who need support.
