Description
There is a horizontal crease in the center of the picture.
Photograph caption dated June 1, 1962 reads "Madison Junior High School, North Hollywood, won sweepstakes prize in citywide school beauty competition sponsored by Los Angeles Beautiful. Included in Madison's contribution to the competition are waterfalls and a complete garden. Ted Hirayama, front left, agriculture teacher, directed the effort with help of Jack Arsenault, 15, North Hollywood, front right; Norm Britting,a (sic) 14, and Carl McClelland, 14, both Van Nuys, rear." Hirayama is on the right in the photograph.
