Redwood Region. Selective logging experiment of 1927. On Willits - Ft. Bragg road at intersection with State Civilian Conservation Corps protection road into Big River. Ground was heavily covered with ceanothus and other brush which was cleared out with bulldozer by K. B. McGuire prior to cutting the reserve trees and turning the land into grass for sheep and cattle. Note varying forms of redwood crowns. 6/28/46. E.F. See also 7381-6
