Photograph caption dated April 13, 1961 reads "An army of 7,000 San Fernando Valley volunteers will march three hours on April 17 in a house-to-house crusade for funds for the American Cancer Society. Burbank leaders, from left, Mrs. Peter A. Rasmus, Mrs. Arnold D. Malcomson and Mrs. B. F. Taylor, chart routes covering homes throughout the area. Volunteers are being solicted (sic) through TH-8-2751."
