Pictionid73414878 - catalog100026663 - title--air mail personnel on the 20th anniversary of the first air mail flight earle ovington pilot of that flight commemorates by flying a load of mail from los angeles to tucson arizona. he is shown on the right wearing the helmet used by pilots during those pioneer days. center is frank hitchcock who was postmaster general in 1911 and conceived the flight. at left is major john d. carmody who participated in the first air mail flight arrangements. september 23 1931. - filename100026663.tif
