Miss Malcolm came to Chogoria July 1928.” Group portrait of Dr and Mrs A C Irvine with their sons Tony, Geoff and Kenneth and Miss Rita Butter-Malcolm who was in charge of girl’s work and nursing and was based at Chogoria until 1939. ❧ Image from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the early years of the Chogoria mission, established near Mt Kenya in 1922 and run by Dr Irvine, ministering to the Chuka and Mwimbi peoples.
