Description
Photograph of General Custer and his officers posed possibly at a fort, ca.1888. A group of soldiers and women gather around the staircase leading up to a front porch. The men are clad in uniform and are loosely scattered, some sitting, others standing and facing the right. The women are in long dresses or skirts, and stand amidst the men. In the background, a fenced porch can be seen, with a large windowed door in the middle between two large windows. Note: it's a copy of the original photograph (made by C.C. Pierce in circa 1888).
