Description
41 pages removed from a photo album. The photographer was Frank A. Rickett (d.1950), residing on Eleventh Street near San Fernando. He developed and processed the images at home. The images date from 1937-1941. The album includes photographs taken in Portland, Oregon; Alum Rock Park, Chapel of Roses, Herbert Hoover Junior High School, Woman's Club (Santa Clara), Home of G. H. Lisle, First Christian Church, First Congregational Church, First Methodist Church, local reservoirs and dams, San Jose State College, Christian Church, Home of L. C. Gerhardt, Grace Baptist Church, Big Basin, Lucy Ann Apartments, Collins Home, Portuguese Church and Holy Ghost Procession, Hart's Department Store, California State Armory, Italian Holy Family Church, Municipal Rose Garden, Rosicrucian Park, San Jose Country Club, Almaden Dam, Lick Observatory and Mount Hamilton, Union Pacific "City of Los Angeles" Streamliner, bungalow homes, Armistice Day Parade, Agnew State Hospital, San Jose Hospital, Santa Clara County Hospital, Oak Hill Mausoleum, First Presbyterian Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Scottish Rite Temple, San Jose Library, San Jose Municipal Auditorium, Hall of Records, Horace Mann School, Post Office, prune and pear trees, Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Cliff Drive.
