Description
Two unidentified women holding trophies after the Women's Dipsea Hike in Willow Camp (later renamed Stinson Beach). Written on front of photo: "Willow Camp May 15, 1921." Trophies were awarded to the top three finishers. The race was officially called a "hike" to escape the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) ban on women's long-distance races.
