Description
Written on photograph, K-613-CV Kennett Division. Shasta Reservoir. CCC enrollees felling a large oak tree in clearing operations along the McCloud River. The tree has just begun to fall. The boys have become quite proficient in woodcraft and are able to throw a tree where they want it to go. Cut timber is thrown into the canyons and gullies which will later form natural furnaces when it is burned. B. D. Glaha, Photo. May 3, 1939. ght
