Description
This postcard shows a heavy beach day circa 1930 at the northern edge of Santa Monica. The Lighthouse was a restaurant and cafe, and later the lifeguard headquarters. It marks the spot where the Long Wharf once projected into the Bay. On reverse: [printed] Coastal Highway and beach parallel at the famous Palisades where numerous beach clubs and public and private beaches abound.
