Description
Front view of the octagonal structure at one end of the temple in which is preserved the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. This is, today, the most famous landmark in the city of Kandy and the entire island of Sri Lanka. The two cloud or wave-like walls surround the complex. The main double-arched gateway is at left.
