The Streamline Moderne style Hollywood Park, built in 1937, was located at 1050 South Prairie Avenue in Inglewood. It was designed by architect Stiles O. Clements and landscape architect Edward Huntsman-Trout. Later additions to the park were designed by Fred Barlow, Jr. In 2012, the property was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park. The park closed in May, 2013 and development of a football stadium complex began in October, 2016.
Photograph caption dated October 24, 1963 reads "Valley Times Sports editor Claude Newman, fourth from left, presents winner's cup to Jim Camp, fifth from left, owner of Hondo Hanover who won the San Fernando Pace Wednesday at Hollywood Park. Hondo Hanover turned in an excellent time of 2:00 3/5 in winning the race and $5,000. Hanover's driver Eddie O'Brien, from left, O'Brien's wife, Eileen, and Jim Murray help celebrate the victory." The racetrack is in Inglewood.
