Photograph caption dated December 22, 1950 reads, "Highest Air Scout award - The Ace Award - is presented to three senior scouts by Albert Christoferson, assistant executive of the Verdugo Hills Council of Boy Scouts of America. Left to right, the three are Joseph Tappero, William H. Wescombe and Robert H. Wescombe. Trio have previously earned highest awards in Sea and Explorer scouting."
