Description
Scrapbook of clippings about the de Forest wireless telephone system and his company, "The Radio Telephone Company." On the front of the scrapbook is written, "The Radio Telephone. Property of Lee De Forest." "Book No 1" is written on the inside cover. Non-news items include: a) photograph of the De Forest radiotelephone (2003-34-726a) b) part of a telegram that reads, "Italy Orders Four Sets Shippment March Twentyfive Remain There to Instal Writing = Darby" circa 1908 (2003-34-726b) c) Letter to shareholders of The Radio Telephone Company, dated 27 December 1907, authorizing the second regular quarterly dividend of one per cent and an extra dividend of equal amount. (2003-34-726c) d) Letter to shareholders of The Radio Telephone Company, dated 27 March 1908, authorizing the third regular quarterly dividend of 1% and an extra dividend of 2% on th epar value of all stock for which full cash payment has been made prior to April 1st, 1908. (2003-34-726d) e) Blank stock certificate for The Radio Telephone Company, no number (2003-34-726e) f) Letter to "Frank" from Lee de Forest, dated 11 September 1907, about money owed to Frank and de Forest's brother, and technical advice. (2003-34-726f)
