Description
Patricia Johnson Fleming was a long-time resident of Mill Valley. In her oral history, Patricia vividly describes daily life in Mill Valley from 1923 onward, including her experiences attending local schools, stories about local residents and shops, and the fun and entertainment everyone enjoyed. Patricia provides personal recollections of the devastating 1929 fire in Mill Valley and discusses the effects of the Depression and World War II. With depth and detail, Patricia ranges over the landscape of Mill Valley and describes how the town - and society - has changed over time.
