Description
A bridge over a canal in Venice, California, where the Venice Short Line electric railway ran. A business sign can be seen in the distance (illegible).
Title devised from note on verso; date devised by cataloger based on the development of the Venice Canal System, built in 1905. (Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument no. 270.) The bulk of the canals were filled in by 1929. The Pacific Electric Railway's Venice Short Line route was discontinued in 1948. (erha.org)
