Description: "Mutter Gaarde und Irene am Kaninchenstall in Sikonge" ("Mother Gaarde and Irene at the rabbit hutch in Sikonge"). Anneken Gaarde and Irene in front of the hutch. The hutch is a tiny house with a thatched roof and a door. It is fenced in. Gaarde is standing and Irene is squatting in front of the fence. Next to Irene: Two rabbits.
The photograph is not listed in the Unyamwezi-list of negatives.--Gaarde, Anneken (Annchen?) Christine, née Andsager. Born on August 13th, 1882 in Boiskor, Schleswig, Denmark. Married Nis Hansen Gaarde in 1912 in Dar es Salaam. From 1912 until unknown she served as a missionary in East Africa.
