Dick Gregory (1932–2017), athlete, comedian, nutritionist, and civil rights activist, with hands to his forehead while delivering a monologue. A vegetarian, Gregory used fasting and marathon running to bring attention to issues of social justice and peace. In 1973 Gregory published his sixth book: "Dick Gregory’s Natural Diet for Folks Who Eat: Cookin’ with Mother Nature."
