Description
A bird's eye view of the Los Angeles River and Lincoln Heights as seen from Elysian Park. The Los Angeles pigeon farm is visible in the immediate foreground on the river bank. Southern Pacific rail lines and freight cars can be seen as well as the Southern Pacific railroad yards in the distance.
Title from verso. Date on the verso of the print is 1920 but this is incorrect. Original print located in a different collection dates this image as 1909; the pigeon farm washed away in a Los Angeles River flood of 1914.
