Photograph caption dated March 10, 1958 reads "Quartz Hill Almond Bloom Festival Queen Linda Dyer rides in old-fashioned carriage during annual Antelope Valley event attended by an estimated crowd of 35,000 persons. Palmdale's Chamber of Commerce Merchants' float won parade Sweepstakes award. Comedian Joe E. Brown acted as Grand Marshall for parade climaxing three-day event."
