Description: Shown is a circa 1945 menu for the El Chico Café, located at 1500 Broadway. Owned by Sacramento native and baseball great Joe Marty, the spot specialized in pizza and offered take-out as late as 2 a.m. Marty is the only Sacramento-born player to homer in a World Series game, that being in 1938 for the Chicago Cubs.
