Description
Photograph of a huge throng of people filing down the street after the Tournament of Roses Parade, Pasadena, ca.1925. People pour down the street in front of the Union Pacific Station whose banner, "Union Pacific System, The Way East" can be seen in the right backgrond. To the left, one- to two-story commercial buildings can be seen, their lower floors obscured by the crowds. The rest of the space is filled with people visible mostly from the waist up, except for a small sliver of unoccupied road to the right of center, and several cars visible in the middle of the pedestrians. Striped banners hang above the celebrants, secured between poles on either side of the street. At what appears to be an intersection to the left, a sign for a railroad crossing can be seen.
Other legible signs from left to right include: "Hudson", "[...]ran & McMenamy", "[...]demeter Service", "Garage", "Ghirardelli's Ground Chocolate", and "Laundry".
